Illustrations for three murals located in a Target store that opened in Washington Heights. The murals are a celebration of the neighborhood and its people. The clouds pay homage to the neighborhood’s nickname, “The Heights,” and reference its location on hilly territory, high up in Manhattan. The juxtaposition of birds and plants from Dominican Republic and New York allude to the unique cultural mix that has blossomed in Little Dominican Republic. These illustrations aim to capture the vibrant and diverse community of this remarkable neighborhood.
